What Makes Us Different?

We listen to guests and members about what they like and dislike about other groups in which they have taken part.

1. We provide ample opportunity for members and guests to socialize before the meeting.

2. Tempe Tipper members rarely do their own 30 second commercial. Instead, members do 30-second commercials on other members in the group. This method provides an opportunity to practice referring other members in front of those being referred.

3. We mix in group learning activities instead of having speakers every week.

4. Speakers spend more time than normal answering questions that help us get to know the individual, not just the nuts and bolts of the industry.

5. Business cards are kept in an orange binder which is passed around the table at the beginning of each meeting.

6. At the beginning of each meeting, the Tip Master places an updated list of previously passed referrals in the orange binder. As the book circulates the table, members write updates on tips to help us track the quality of tips.

7. Every month we highlight one member for tips, typically the person who received the least number of tips the previous two months.

8. Our current members still receive leads from members no longer in the group.

9. The group includes in fun activities throughout the year, such as happy hour mixers, spring training games and other opportunities to develop the personal relationships that make referrals seem effortless.
